There is a somewhat dusty feeling to it, we have tried to leave it as original as possible. There are some small areas of wear including a few very small holes/tears to the canvas but these aren’t noticeable unless inspecting very closely. There is some craquelure to the surface in places and there is one area on her hair where some of the varnish appears to have reacted over time causing some cracking. This is noticeable from some angles and not others.The frame has survived well. There are some losses here and there and some natural wear commensurate with age but nothing seriously wrong.”
